What an incredible book. You don’t need a degree in psychology to understand The Peacemaker. This is the sort of book that is easy to praise and hard to practice. After 30 years in full-time ministry, it is still on my Top Reads. Biblically based, The Peacemaker is full of godly wisdom and useful suggestions that are easily applied to any relationship needing reconciliation. I am taking off a few stars for the dryness and the amount of repetition, but seriously, read this book!!!! Conflict is not an enemy is a friendthat help us to resolve truth, the problem is that we do not know how to work or deal with conflic and for that reason there are so many unresolved situation in our churches today.

The author, given pdacemaker difficult matter he is dealing with, wisely chooses to phrase his recommendations in such a way that it discourages opportunities for people to manipulate the reconciliation process as a way of making fake apologies or manipulating or coercing others into forgiving what has not fully been repented of.
I know for many teens these sands can be terrible struggles, but it peacemakker me that that one in particular was used as an example, even though it was super brief. There are excellent scriptural reminders that it is important to resolve conflict. There are several chapters that were not applicable to me, but in a way, that is a strength–it is a pretty complete book about handling a wide variety of peacemakwr. However, ye olde average Christian, I think, could read this and want to start practicing “resolution” all over the place and begin to take things too far.
Today’s litigious society represents a tremendous challenge for Christian faithfulness. Sande’s years of experience as an attorney and as president of Peacemaker Ministries will strengthen readers’ confidence as they stand in the gap as peacemakers.
I read it at least once a year. This book helped to change the dynamic of my marriage.
