El Clan del Oso Cavernario by Jean M. Auel (5 star ratings)

As this young girl has been marked by a Cave Lion and survived, they deem it acceptable even positive to take her along with them. Sure, they are wildly different from me in terms of customs, religion, ways of life, etc. It was vibrant and meticulously detailed.

Seriously, people, I know the rest of this series focuses on romance, but vavernario book does not, so please don’t shelve it as such! This series is like taking a step back in time and it feels like you have experienced everything that Ayla goes through right alongside her. Plot summary Cqvernario an earthquake kills the family of Ayla, a “Cro-Magnon” girl, she is adopted into the clan of Neanderthals. This is the book that started me reading Jondalar, be still my beating heart! It’s so interesting to read about the clan’s reasoning for dividing the gender roles so clearly.

El Clan del Oso Cavernario

She’s known nothing but the strictures of the Clan. Ayla, Cre I’ll never forget the first time I read this book. A pregnant woman comes across the unconcious body of the girl, and despite her physical differences asks, and receives permission, to carry and tend to the girl.

Another totally nice girl at the table then said, “That book actually has a lot of really passionate parts in it, I believe. And you finish the book knowing you want to continue to the next book.

This story was about a woman who is trying to survive, and doesn’t let anyone or anything stand in her way to learn about the world around her, to love and care for those she loves and to dare to be as brave and strong as any man. I for some reason pictured the Hollywood version of scruffy cave people with shaggy hanging furs and oeo in their hair.

I assumed Broud would be her love interest since he was a oo character and guessed he and Ayla would have an enemies-to-lovers plot line or something. I was in the 5th grade.

How else can I describe a book that transports the reader back to a time in history where there were no books, writing or pictorial records to chart early life forms but makes it so believable you think this could have actually taken place. Ayla was a great character; she grows so much throughout the book.

This woman didn’t go, “I’m going to write a pre-historic novel” and then just throw in some almost modern humans in a wallpaper world. Narrator was okay, but read a bit fast and with without enough inflection at cavernaroi I truly loved and enjoyed everything about this book.

The setting is prehistoric times and what we know or claim to know of these early days is sl more than our best guesses. The Clan vocalized little more than names and communication is a series of the complicated hand signals. Again, the depictions are not graphic.

I loved this book. Indeed, she’s much too strong, competent and intelligent for some of the Clan to accept in a woman and judging from critical and reader reactions, some moderns aren’t very cool with it either!

I don’t know how this book escaped my clutches for so long! Ayla is a Cro-Magnon who is adopted by a group of Neanderthal people when they find her stranded and abandoned after heavy snowfall and a great Earthquake.

Looking forward to book two. It’s about this little girl Ayla who is left orphaned and alone cxvernario prehistoric times, then picked up and raised by Neanderthals. Clan of the Cave Cavetnario had the power to make me absolutely livid, without making me angry at the author or the book itself. Ayla is just not Clan; she is of the Others, and that breeding comes through.

For a writer of historical fiction, a prehistoric setting poses a challenge; technically, the genre embraces any fiction set in the past, but its authors usually depend heavily on written records for events and background material, and for the Ice Age, no such records exist. It was long and maybe just a little too descriptive at times Ayla is not only libroo quick learner, but an inuitive one. Auel is published by Brilliance Audio and is 19 hours, 36 minutes, Unabridged.

For me, when it comes to rating what I deem to be Historical Fiction, 5 stars are a rarity. This was a fantastic book. The ideas of the shared and instinctual memory was fascinating as it gave the Neanderthals both a human and animalistic feel.
